Printable brochure (PDF, 269 KB) Experience the thrill of bicycle racing with PDQ Cleveland, an affiliate of American Bicycle Racing (ABR)! Founded in 1990, our club is dedicated to the promotion of bicycle racing, and is registered with the state of Ohio as a non-profit corporation (bylaws here). Most members reside on the west side of Greater Cleveland and fall within the 30-50 year age range, but membership is open to any interested individual. USCF or ABR membership is encouraged, but not required. Mountain biking? Triathlons? Some do that too every now and then, but road racing is our primary focus. ACTIVITIES MEETINGS RACE PROMOTION For 2008, we proudly present the twelfth annual Chippewa Creek Road Race. Climbers will delight in this hilly, scenic parkway circuit race in the Brecksville Reservation of the Cleveland Metroparks, featuring a technical backstretch, 45 mph descent, a hilltop finish, and more than 400 feet of climbing per 4 mile lap. Over $1000 in cash prizes and awards are up for grabs in 3 races of 20, 28, and 36 miles for competitors of all abilities, including citizens, women, men 35+, elite men, and juniors 12-18. Racing is the club’s emphasis . . . over the years, members have competed in events from New York to California and points in between, and to assist developing competitors, a race reimbursement program is offered. Training rides take place throughout the year, as announced. Parties and programs crop up from time to time, as the occasion presents.
Club business is decided at open-forum meetings held annually and at other times, as the need arises; we try to keep such gatherings brief and to a minimum. All members, new or old, are encouraged to take part in the decision-making process.
Since 1995, we have staged more than 15 events of nearly every type, including numerous circuit races, a team time trial, an individual time trial, and even a mountain bike race.
Since 2001, we have been proud to support the Nicole Reinhart Memorial Fund.
